About The Other Half
This project began with a single earring I couldn’t bring myself to throw away — a small, beautiful thing full of memory and meaning. It made me wonder how many others were out there, waiting to be found, remembered, and loved again.
I believe in second chances — for people, for memories, and even for earrings.
At The Other Half, I collect and share these lost earrings — some donated by kind strangers, others found in forgotten corners — each one carrying its own quiet story. I help people find matches for what they’ve lost, discover pieces that speak to them, and honour the beauty in imperfection and new beginnings.
Because sometimes, the missing half is just waiting to be reunited. And sometimes, it becomes something entirely new.
Whether you’ve lost the other half or want to give your memories new life, you’re in the right place.
The Earring That Started It All
The Other Half was born from something small — a single earring, gifted by my sister before I moved away. I lost the other, but couldn’t bring myself to throw this one out.
I thought about replacing it with a new pair, but it wouldn’t have felt the same. Because this one held something deeper: a memory, a moment, a connection.
That’s when I realized — some pieces aren’t meant to be replaced. They’re meant to be reimagined.
So I created The Other Half: a place for lone earrings to find new stories, new matches, and new beginnings. Whether they’re submitted with love, donated with memory, or found in forgotten drawers, each one deserves a second life.
We don’t believe in perfect pairs — we believe in meaningful ones.
Welcome to The Other Half. A space where what’s missing can become something beautiful.
Giving Back to Those Who Gave First
At The Other Half, we believe in completing more than just earring pairs — we believe in completing circles of kindness.
Many of our single earrings come from generous donations by the local community. In return, we give back a portion of the proceeds back to the community — as a thank-you for sharing forgotten treasures and helping us give them a second life.
We are actively working with local charity stores by purchasing from them, promoting their contributions, and donating back from our sales.
It’s our way of honouring the community that makes this project possible —a story of giving, receiving, and remembering — so that beauty never ends where it began.
